How To Get A Free CONECA Web Site Ad
CONECA’s Free Web Site Ads are restricted to current CONECA members.
• They must be submitted to the webmaster as text-only in the body of an email.
• DO NOT send as an attached text file as it will not be opened.
• DO NOT send as a hand written or printed out hardcopy letter as it will not be transcribed. We are trying to provide a free service to our members and at the same time avoid creating undue work for the webmaster.
The ad will be good for 60 days from the time it appears on the web site and is limited to a total of 50 words with name and physical address not counted within that 50 words (phone numbers, web addresses and email addresses all count as one word each). The ads may not contain html or hyperlinks to other sites but web addresses (URL’s) to such sites containing a member’s price list, details of research, etc., may be included (html will be removed from hot links in the event that it is included). Please do not format words in all capitol letters; the first five words in your ad will be set in bold type.
The message in the ad should be restricted to buying, selling, trading or research of error-variety coins, error-variety books or related interests (such as error-variety hobby exonumia/memorabilia, coinage dies, etc.). The intent of the free CONECA ad is not that it be used for the promotion or membership drives, etc., for other clubs. However, acronyms for such associations may be listed as an advertiser’s credentials if desired (they will count as one word each including those that are hyphenated to indicate the type of membership or include a membership number as: ABC-LM or ABC-RM#0000). CONECA is not adverse to the support of other clubs but such interests should be directed to the webmaster’s consideration for inclusion on the CONECA links page.
In an effort to keep the ads current, CONECA will not accept “keep the ad running as is” type orders. The ads must be resubmitted bimonthly to keep them running even if it is the same ad. When an ad is about to expire, (or has expired), a new one may be placed by repeating the procedure outlined above or requesting that the same ad be rerun. The new ad may be submitted up to a week prior to the current ad’s expiration date or anytime thereafter. The expiration date will appear at the end of each ad. Each CONECA member is entitled to one ad of 50 words renewable bimonthly. Any ad deemed inappropriate or in poor taste may be rejected. You may have ads containing obsolete information removed by request but a change in ad content may only occur just prior to or after a current ad expires. Please allow reasonable time (a week to ten days) for an ad to first appear or changes to be made. Report any errors you see in your ad ASAP.
