James Motley notifies the CONECA BOD (on May 15th, 2023) that the annual online meeting will begin.
Meeting OPENS on June 1st 2023

Seat #3 The Yn membership is growing. We are (as of my last list) at 39 YNs. When I first took over we were in the 20s. I believe the kids like the quizzes and the times when I ask them what they are looking for or thier history with collecting. However I have had complaints about the prizes (DDOs and RPMs) that they aren’t “exciting”. I’m trying to spice things up a bit with some of the better donations I’ve gotten but most are the DDOs or RPMs. Cuvelier\Lighterman

Seat #2 ErrorScope and Advertising – – I’m getting some really good articles lately, including some large ones, and I hope this keeps up. Greg Bennick will have more interview articles since the Weinberg interview was a big hit. To attract more advertisers maybe we could give some incentives such as a lower rate for X number of issues if they commit to at least a year of advertising. This would include smaller ads along with full page ads. Maybe a flyer we could give out at trade shows. Currently we are between 32 to 36 pages depending on content. The cost for each issue is increasing due to paper costs but I don’t see that ending anytime soon. We have had an issue where an article is submitted to ErrorScope, we print it only to find out it was submitted to other magazines as well. My policy is that I won’t accept an article if it’s been printed in another magazine within the last year and won’t be submitted to another magazine the same time as ours. Thanks once again to all who proof the magazine. Spell check and grammar check don’t catch everything and no matter how many times I review an issue I never catch everything. Zimmerman/Cuvelier

Seat #7 Errorama/ANA This is the report for the Errorama/ANA Seat that is vacant at this time. We will fill this seat when someone who both attends the ANA Worlds Fair of Money show and can both handle the CONECA club table and plan the banquet in whichever town we will be in. Following through with last years Errorama, CONECA manned a table the the ANA’s 2021 convention in Chicago. Because of covid 19 restrictions and spacing on the bourse floor all the clubs were placed in a alcove room where there was little or no traffic from the public attending the show. In addition to this the fact that not many of the regulars that attend the Errorama traveled to Chicago and with so few people it became impossible to find a location for our banquet both near the convention center and within a price that would make it acceptable to those who were there, the banquet was canceled. For this year’s Errorama we are again in Chicago and will be again manning a table that is located on the bourse floor and we will be having a banquet at Gibsons Steak house across the street. We are limited to 24 people and already have 12people signed up to attend. Th board did vote to subsidize part of the cost and allow those planning it to get donations to help both attendees and CONECA. We will hold our annual membership meeting on Saturday morning with the time and room the me assigned by the ANA in a few weeks. As to next year’s ANA convention being held in Pittsburgh, PA we have a banquet location that is within a block of the convention center and at a more affordable cost to the membership. More information on this will come once this year’s convention had ended. Zimmerman/Cuvelier

Board Seat #5 Webmaster Report. Continuous hacking attempts occurred in 2021 and the beginning of 2022 which had our service providers tighten up security. This in turn caused email issues to occur that were resolved as quickly as possible when they happened. Additional security software was installed in all portions of our sites.
All site software was continually updated and the member area kept current
The CML was worked on throughout the year and included extensive conversations with all involved to address new additions, stages and an incredible amount of information that has to be corrected and reworked in our files. All denominations worked on so far have had issues that only serve to further confuse the hobby and have to be addressed.
Over the last four weeks I have put in over 65 hours of work to address the issues I was having with the CML site. All issues have been resolved and the CML is now live and can be launched with the complete Jefferson Nickel variety listings on site to start. There are 982 pages that represent 10% of our listings. All varieties are searchable from one text field in any number of ways.

Everyone should look at all pages and text and comment or make changes as needed.

https://www.conecaonline.info/denominations/ outlines what users can expect in the coming months.
Jefferson RPMs will be listed in the next few days with additions and then onto the Lincoln Wheats. Their informational sheets have been started but need approximately 20-35 more hours of work put into each of them to finalize their information. The RPMs have had extensive marker information indicated on the images and 126 of the entries have been extensively added to.
Quarters have been started from 1999 to date and will be added after those sheets are updated, which I estimate to take anywhere from 20-30 hours
Each additional denomination added will be given its own link from that Home page.
Jason is writing text for new additions (I already have images) to the CML. An additional link will be added from the Home page to showcase all new listings to the CML.
I will have as much additional denomination and variety information posted as I can before the 2022 Chicago August show. Cuvelier\Zimmerman

I make a motion to end our storage unit commitment before 8/24/2022. We would keep the Crawford files and give them to Jason, destroy our CONECA images and keep anything from Cohen that is in the locker. Lukic\Cuvelier

Board Seat #4 Public Relations\Elections At this time I have not sent out many press releases due to personal issues and loss of my computer. In the past year I have sent out a few Facebook posts to many error and variety coin group. I now have a computer and will be working at fixing the PR seat. I have recently sent out a press release for CONECA being at the World’s Fair of Money both in email to the numismatic publications and to numerous Facebook error and variety groups. Lighterman\Lukic
