James Motley has been involved in Numismatics for just over 50 years as a collector. He has been an officer in the Pontiac Coin Club, and is currently past Chairman of the Huron Valley Numismatic Society. He also sits on the Board of the Michigan State Numismatic Society, The Elongated Collectors and Women in Numismatics. He is a member of ANA, CCU, CONECA, HVNS, MSNS, NUMISSOCIETY, TEC, USCC, and the WIN organizations and take active rolls when needs arise.

James is the proud recipient of two Dr.Lyndon King Awards (2013, 2016) from CONECA and was inducted into the CONECA Hall of Fame in 2020. He was also presented the ANA Presidential Award in August of 2014.

Jason Cuvelier is an artist who was born in Colorado in 1973. At the age of 10 he became interested in type collecting U.S. coins from pocket change and was encouraged by his grandfather, a lifelong collector of coins himself. Always a collector of something, from comic books to action figures and stamps, numismatic varieties won out and became his primary interest. Over the past decade Jason has been able to combine his expertise with photography and Photoshop to document hundreds of different varieties and errors.

Jason currently is an artist educator at an arts high school on Long Island, NY. He received his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1995 and his MFA from Yale University in 1998. Jason has taught drawing and painting as a Lecturer at Yale from 1999-2001, more recently at high schools in Chappaqua and Mamaroneck as well as having previously worked at Christie’s Auction House from 2001-2007.

James Zimmerman has been a member of CONECA for over 35 years.  In addition to his treasurer duties, James is a State Representative for PA and has been very active over the past 10 years recruiting new members and in staffing CONECA’s table at national and regional coin shows.  He has written many articles for the club’s ErrorScope receiving CONECA’s Literary Awards from 2018 through 2022.   James has also been a multiple recipient of the Kenny Knapp award for signing up new members, most recently in 2022.  He is a member of the A.N.A. and the Florida United Numismatists.

James is a recent retiree as Senior Vice President of Corporate Lending for a large regional bank and held various local board/officer positions for economic development and charitable organizations such as the United Way. He graduated from Juniata College with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and received his MBA from Frostburg State University.

James started collecting coins at age 8 and was “bitten” by the error bug in his early twenties when a local dealer sold him an off-center nickel. He especially enjoys collecting Canadian wrong planchet errors and U.S. cuds. He is a multiple winner of the club’s annual Cherry Picker’s Award and is credited with the discovery of the 1921-P Morgan Reverse Cud VAM-19B.

Allan Anderson

Allan Anderson has been a graphic designer and technical illustrator since 1971 along with advertising and corporate communications for some of the companies he worked for. He worked for most high tech firms in the San Francisco Bay area and developed my own graphic design business with clients from high tech, non-profit, retail and government. Besides Errorscope Allan has been the editor and layout artist for two other magazines. Since taking over the duties of editor he learned a great deal about error coins and and finds the hobby fascinating and looks forward to becoming a collector.

Logan Wostyn’s grandfather started her collecting coins at six years old and it helped her to also learn to save money. She is a Coin Dealer and a collector and thinks that no matter how much you know, there is still much more you can learn.

I believe that the Young Numismatists are our future. Like my grandfather taught me I want to teach the children that come after me the wonders of collecting coins and the oddities that are out there. Errors and Varieties are unique which to me makes them more interesting. I believe that if we nourish the minds of our children and teach them with enthusiasm that we can make this exciting and interesting for them. My goal is to keep the Young Numismatists program thriving and to make learning fun.

I have participated in many clubs and organizations and look forward to turning my attention to the CONECA world. My past posts have been:

Greg Bennick

Greg Bennick has been an active error coin collector and researcher ever since buying his first error coin, a clipped planchet steel cent, at a flea market in Connecticut at the age of ten. Since then he has been increasingly obsessed, branching out to focus on major Canadian as well as US error coins, ancient errors, and Conder token errors.

A professional keynote speaker on the topic of focus (ironic given the breadth of his error interests!) he has presented his comedic keynote including his “Build a Better Now™” theme for corporate conferences and associations worldwide. Greg is also is the founder and Executive Director of international non-profit humanitarian organization One Hundred For Haiti.

Greg maintains an extensive personal library of error coin related books, pamphlets, magazines, and ephemera going back to the dawn of the hobby in the 1950’s. He is honored to serve on the CONECA board and excited to offer assistance to other collectors and to help the hobby grow.

Peter Lukic is an accomplished art director, designer and photographer specializing in print, web and marketing. Based in Northern New Jersey, he has a broad client base and has worked on projects ranging from national magazine accounts to museum installations and catalogs. He is currently working on a variety of marketing, web and identity projects for his other clients.

Peter is a co-owner of the Lincoln Cent Forum and specializes in collecting Lincoln varieties and errors. Through his work there and with BJ Neff, he  has helped to do outreach and expand the hobby to a younger generation of potential hobbyists.

John Miller

John Miller started collecting coins in Tampa, Florida in 1981 at the age of 12. Since then he has completed many coin series from Indian and Lincoln Cents, to Peace and Ike Dollars. He started seriously collecting varieties and errors in 1999, and became a member of CONECA in 2006. Currently John is a CONECA Florida State Representative, an ANA Florida State Representative, The Ocala Coin Club Recording Secretary, a member of FUN, Lincoln Cent Forum, and many Facebook coin groups.

Among his Numismatic accomplishments are winning awards from F.U.N. and the ANA for error exhibits. He has written articles for CONECA’s ErrorScope in 2016, 2018, and 2020. He has enjoyed helping with the CONECA table at the FUN Show for the last six years. John has also presented talks about errors and varieties at local clubs, national coin shows, the ANA Summer Seminar, and the ANA eLearning Academy.

He works in the Shipping Department for an air sampling company in Ocala, Florida. John has been married to his wife Peggy for 24 years and has a son, Alex… plus 5 cats: Rudy, Toby, Jack, Cheetah, and Elsie
